The first symposium of the Southern Central States Fedora Users Group will take place July 18th and 19th in Norman, Oklahoma on the University of Oklahoma campus.
The Southern Central States Fedora Users Group welcomes anyone in the region both currently using Fedora and considering use of Fedora for management of digital assets as a repository or archive. The meeting will include conversations regarding current implementations, work underway at peer institutions, discussion for users considering the tool and Fedora workshops led by Fedora experts and developers.
In addition to discussion of work currently underway, there will be an open discussion of Fedora for those who are considering adoption on their campus. Attendees are invited to present upon their various projects in either long or short sessions during the meeting. There will also be training available, delivered by the DuraSpace Fedora team.
This meeting is for all ranges of technical skill level and the group hopes to make this event a free exchange of ideas.
